HUDs Albany regional office move eyed for New York City
Area housing officials urged HUD to relocate the Albany regional office to New York City rather than Buffalo to reduce travel for contractors developers and local officials. Officials met with HUD and Rep Edward Pattison and Rep Samuel Stratton arguing the change would ease inspections and service delivery for Troy Schenectady Amsterdam and surrounding communities. They asked for a second meeting and more explanation as staff transfers continue amid mid January timelines.
