Israel and Egypt extend UN cease fire arrangement
Israel has accepted Gen. Odd Bull's proposal to extend indefinitely the arrangement barring Egyptian and Israeli ships from the Suez Canal. Egypt reportedly consented as well. the extension began July 27 for an initial month. Negotiations continued in Cairo and Jerusalem. In Egypt, a separate Arab boycott against Coca Cola and all its products will start September 1, with no Coca Cola items in Arab markets after next Thursday. Ford and RCA products are already boycotted.

State Police Investigate 3 Accidents Near Brunswick
Three accidents were investigated by State Police at the Brunswick station early Saturday. Fred R. Faller of Bennington Vermont drove a large van down a 20 foot embankment on Route 22 near Route 7, uninjured. Russell Gowie of Cohoes suffered arm contusions after his car hit guard rails at Junction Routes 2 and 278, was treated and released. Richard Chittenden of Grafton escaped injury when his Route 278 car left the shoulder and struck guard rails. Police troopers J P Kivlin and G L Kronan led the investigations.

Troy police investigated three accidents early Saturday with no injuries. A 33 year old resident reported his car was forced into a parked vehicle on Fifth Avenue near 12:30 a.m. A 13 year old was arrested after a two car crash on Fifth Avenue at 2:50 a.m. The juvenile’s car, owned by Paul H Danaher Sr., collided with a car driven by Thomas W Deratzian. A third incident occurred at 3:08 a.m. involving Diane M Anthony and a Zibro vehicle on River Street and Glen Avenue. The 13 year old’s case was referred to the juvenile bureau.
