Man Stabbed In Albany Robbery Attempt
William Spaulding 52 of Marcellus is in satisfactory condition at Albany Medical Center after a stabbing during a downtown robbery attempt. The assailant, described as a Negro man about 20, five feet ten inches, wore a green checkered shirt and white sneakers. Spaulding was with a woman companion near Jim Towne Motel on lower I Broadway when they fled a car and the attacker pursued them. Emergency surgery was performed and initial serious condition updated to satisfactory. The woman was unharmed.

The group gifted a transistor radio to Mr. and Mrs. Waterfield who will depart for Buenos Aires Argentina where Waterfield starts a Norton Co. assignment.
