No Gas Furloughed Men Get Furlough Gasoline
County administrator reiterates that men on furloughs cannot obtain gasoline rations for automobile use during furloughs. The rule comes from the OPA authority, not local boards, despite protests from Seabee service members and confusion over mimeographed sheets claiming furlough allowances. Officials hope for regulatory change but for now applications are denied.
