New York health officials report June 1946 death rates were lower than the previous year with the overall rate at 9 percent and the all forms rate 8.9 per 100 000. Automobile fatalities fell from the postwar peak and pneumonia deaths were down while measles rose and whooping cough deaths doubled.

He lived in California, ran ranches, wife predeceased him, survived by two children Elizabeth Lane Garrison and Derick Lane, two brothers Liland Y Lane of Troy and George T Lane of New York, and a sister Miss Mees Thompson of New York. Nathaniel Matlin, 70, of Cropseyville, was reported in Laie yesterday after a medical emergency following a week’s accident. He was pinned by a car on a state highway near a pond, and transported by ambulance to Tray Hospital where he died.
Regents exam schedule released by Troy High School for the summer term. Examinations span Wednesday and Thursday with algebra, arithmetic, typing, history, and chemistry among subjects. Only students regularly enrolled or who completed prior sessions are admitted.
Miss Dorothy Liesd Winsophie, a former student at Emme t Wilborg School, died when a plane crashed near Aructuds, Mit Vorpacertx. Her parents witnessed the accident as the aircraft disappeared over their home, marking a tragic early loss for the community.
About fifty persons attended the Chamstean celebration of the Ral Mugatain Community Society held Sunday at Cathoun's Grave in Britnawick.
