Sand Lake weighs sewer plan with regional agency join

Sand Lake Town Board heard a feasibility report by Joseph Kestner Troy engineer on joining the Rensselaer County Sewer Agency versus starting a local project. The plan would cost about 185 per family for study, and about 167 to 185 per family for a local system. the board deferred action on a referine. A lottery ticket sale request by the State Tax Commissioner was also deferred.

Schaghticoke Man Wins Headline Scramble Prize

The Troy Record reports Joseph E. Madigan of Schagh ticoke won the second HEADLINE SCRAMBLE contest with a score of 131. A check was issued. Several entries tied with scores of 181 but were disqualified for errors or words not in the Webster's Collegiate.

Pamela and Kimberley Brown of Raymertown visited grandparents Mr and Mrs Leon Brown and Mr and Mrs Ronald Bartus of Berlin. Prof Frederick Abbuhl and family are touring Europe visiting relatives. Rev George Murdoch of Cambridge will preach at a union morning service at Brunswick Presbyterian Church, with the Christian Church and Eagle Mills Methodist Church jointly holding the service.

Camper-Staff Day at YW Camp Grafton Honors Staff

Camp Yowoc observed its annual camper-staff day at the YWCA resident camp in Grafton. Jane Beltzer directed the event with Robin Rosenthal as waterfront director and many others named as staff across land sports arts and crafts performing arts and more. The final period of the 1967 season ends August 26, with former campers invited to register for the week of August 20-26.
