Mechanville Crossing Hearing Sets Signals Plan
A hearing was held on the North Main Street crossing near the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Co. plant. Officials authorized the Benton and Martha Maliraqd to discontinue flagman services once flashing signals are installed and all trains must stop for 20 seconds during signal testing. Ballston obituary notes the drowning death of a 42 year old Ballston woman found in a farm well after her son reported her missing. Coroner Dr Frederick Eaton ruled it accidental due to drowning. Funeral services are planned Friday in Ballston. she is survived by a daughter and three brothers.
