Sailor-Artist Reynolds Captures Gals On Destroyer
Byron Reynolds of Los Angeles serves as ship’s artist aboard a destroyer in the North Pacific. He sketches portraits of shipmates, particularly the women on shore, and also paints landscapes and seascapes. Reynolds began art studies in Hollywood and counts advertising work as appealing. He has drawn about a hundred portraits on the ship and praises fellow crew member Thomas Stevenson as a rival artist.
