Schenectady Blood Center Faces Possible Closure
Schenectady’s Blood Donor Center may lose its operation as donations fall short of daily quotas. Moorhead Wright Jr. notes July 32 to August 5 donations totaled 416 pints against a required 159 pints per day, with donors dropping from 73 to 14 on Thursday. The Mobile Unit helped collect 860 pints from area towns, including Roswell Falls, highlighting waning local support and urging renewed community response to save soldiers’ blood supply.
