Return of City Court to Old Court House Rooms May Be Petitioned by Lawyers
Local attorneys foresee a petition to the Board of Supervisors to let the Troy City Court return to the old court room after the rationing boards move out on August 19. The room, once part of the courthouse complex, was kept as an emergency space when the City Court relocated to the Municipal Health Building, and plans for consolidating rationing operations elsewhere were pursued. Some officials speculate Commissioner John J. Ahern may seek the space for the Public Welfare Department, requiring alterations for new offices and access.
