AP reports 400 million people expected to visit U S federal lands and waters this year surpassing last year’s 375 million. Agencies note outdoor recreation spans bird watching canoeing hunting fishing boating and picnicking with 457 million acres opened but camp and picnic units may only serve about one third of anticipated visitors.
