Fall Bazaar to Aid Sisters of St. Joseph Provincial House
The Parents and Friends of the Sisters of St. Joseph plan a fall bazaar Oct 1-2 on the Provincial House grounds in Lelatour and Water Vliet Shaker Roads. Latham Joseph G Manupella is general chairman with James J Doyle as cochairman. Proceeds will cut provincial debt and fund training of novitiates and foreign missions at the Latham facility.

Granville Teenager Pleads Innocent After Fear of Father
Richard Haskins a 19 year old in Rutland Vermont faced a court hearing after seeking to change his prior guilty plea for setting a sedan on fire to obtain insurance money. He cited fear of brutality from his father Henry Haskins and testified of abuse. The court appointed guardian ad litem and later Mrs Elaine Capen as guardian after the witness account.
