Hariey A Ghesby, former justice of the New York State Supreme Court, was elected to the court in 1921 and served seven years as a trial justice. He was appointed to the Appellate Division by Franklin D Roosevelt when he was governor, joining the division in 1829 and served in that Frision in 1940.
The Maid of the Mists sightseeing boats at Niagara Falls will be rebuilt after a fire last Friday. Canadian inspectors say both ships are seaworthy and can be restored, with cabin and deck work costing about $100,000. Vessels operate below the falls, ferrying tourists to the base of Horseshoe Falls.
Gerry Fitzgerald is recovering from measles and Frank Brenestuhl from a broken arm. The Luther an Church senior choir will rehearse at 8 p.m. today. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Hoag hosted guests including Mr. and Mrs. Roger Lewis and their Albany visit, and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Elwell and son from Watervliet.
