Hudson Falls spring term of Washington County Court adjourned at 6 pm Tuesday after one day of Seliberations. Seven defendants pleaded guilty during arraignments. trials were not scheduled. Several individuals faced charges including attempted rape, burglary, and assault with various sentences and prison terms.

Indicted Men Plead Guilty In Local Offenses
Joan Leary of Hudsonsville and James Barlow, 26, Poultney, faced indictments for endowments involving their two children but pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct with a weekly 2 dollar support duty and a 100 dollar bond. Roscoe Wallace Lilles, 17, Fort Ann, faced four counts including burglary and grand larceny and pleaded guilty to second degree grand larceny, with a two to three year Clinton Prison sentence suspended for youth, on condition he repays half the stolen goods’ value. Louis Ross, 27, Fort Ann, charged with the same offenses as Lilles, pleaded guilty to second degree grand larceny, given a suspended two to three year term and ordered to repay half the stolen value. Attorneys were Francis St. Clair of Whitehall for Stiles and John D. Briggs of Cambridge for Ross.
