Sessions and proposal to open second court room
The Reneselaes County Bar Association considers converting the former Supreme Court chambers on the second floor of the County Court House back to a court room to speed caseloads. A luncheon meeting is set for Wednesday at 1 pm at The Annex. The plan, led by William R Murray, would move the County Welfare Department to State and West Streets and require action by the Board of Supervisors. About 1,000 cases await action with many as three years old, and opening a second courtroom could allow concurrent Supreme Court sessions and help County Court meet at any time.
