Tax Official To Address Credit Women in Troy Event

Allen J. Goodrich New York state tax commissioner will address the Credit Women's Breakfast Club of Troy at the Troy Club Monday evening April 24. Goodrich, a native of New York City, has held key posts in Dewey era offices and state fiscal agencies. The gathering includes a reception at 6 30 pm and dinner at 7 pm with Mrs Thelma Green as toastmaster and Mary Jones as club president.

Obituary of a World War I veteran from Albany area

Born in Albany and long time Troy resident, he lived at 1923 Highland Avenue. A World War I veteran and Mexican border campaign veteran, he was a former Tibbits Cadets member. He attended Second Baptist Church and is survived by his widow Mary Porter, three sons Willard Nelson and Bennett H. plus another, and several other relatives.
