Joseph H Murphy yesterday appointed Thomas M Inwen of Troy as deputy commissioner at motor vehicles with a $582 annual salary, to head the Motor Vehicle Bureau’s Safety Division. George W Melssac of Brunswick was named estate tax appraiser and attorney for Rensselaer County, earning $6,964, both effective April 23. Brown resigns as assemblyman, successor to serve one year to be elected in November. Melssac returns to his 1950 post and remains Brunswick supervisor for the year.

Rites for John Keegan 31 of 608 Frrand St held today in parish church after he was found dead in his room Monday noon. Keegan, an attendant at the Federal cand River Sts parking lot, death ruled natural by Coroner Thomas Y. Styles. Survived by widow Matyalyer Shannon, brother Marold J. Feevan of Manufacturers National Bank Troy, and sister Mrs Juanes J. Trebin. Funeral 9:15 am at Mason Funeral Home to St Peter's Church Requiem Mass. Interment at St Mary's Cemeters.
