City Hall Park Steps From Granting Troy A New Green Oasis
Mayor John J Ahern announced a new City Hall Park on the old City Hall site at Third and State Streets. He said the project would cost taxpayers less than five dollars, funded by community contributions and in kind labor, with May testing by May 1. The plan grew from a tired housewife waiting for a Fifth Avenue bus and local volunteers rallying to replace the parking lot with shrubbery benches and a fountain.
