Albany Felt stockholders oppose Deering Milliken takeover
Six Albany Felt Co stockholders owning or representing over 42 percent of shares issued a joint statement denouncing Deering Milliken Inc of Spartanburg SC as attempting to gain control. The board members argue the move harms the company and its stakeholders and note plans to resist offers to sell at 27 dollars per share, which could give Deering Milliken a controlling stake.
