The page lists advertising rates and payment rules for regular adverts, notes extra charges for preferred positions, and urges prompt payment. It mixes in local merchant bargains for ladies shoes, silver knives, cooking and heating stoves, a B. & Crews offer, and a 16 horsepower engine with saw mill. It includes a public note urging debtors to settle accounts to keep business running. Import of a fine Clydesdale stallion from Callaway county
Messrs Jonathan Crume and Dan Argent recently returned with a fine Clydesdale stallion purchased from Mr Thomas Herrison of Callaway county. The four year old, dapple gray gelding stands about sixteen hands and three inches, with a powerful draught horse appearance. Many prefer Clydesdales to Perolitron stock for draught work. Stock men show active interest in improving stock, and Crume and Argent deserve praise for their venture.
