Drowning at Stoercks ferry on Cuivre River
David Morgenthal, once near Chain of Rocks, wandered the area after dissipation and learned his wife and family had moved to Dog Prairie. He was found on the road, convulsed, and later drowned after entering the water at Stoerck's ferry below Big Creek. An inquest was held the same evening by Eng. E.R. Williamson.
