Arraignment of Buermatt for assault on a girl in St Charlee Cosmos
Buermatt was arraigned before a justice in St Charlee Cosmos on the 8th for an unnamed crime against twelve year old Wilhelmine Somers. He confessed guilt and was held on $1,000 bond to await the next term of the court, or jailed if not posted. Also, D W Coonea faced ten armed assailants who robbed him near Washington township, St Clair county, of $483 in collected funds and $140 of his own money. Two companions were with him but unarmed.
