Dramatic Club Chooses Executed Dutchman Play
At the last meeting the dramatic club selected the play Executed Dutchman and assigned roles. Directors agreed to provide the school building to avoid any objections to hall use. Specifications and cast estimates are being prepared for display at the next meeting.
Notice of tax collection by Lincoln county collector
Lincoln county taxpayers are informed that collector P. G. Sugton will be at the courthouse to receive taxes. A five percent penalty applies after January 31. The law requires him to serve notice and to seize delinquent property if taxes remain unpaid. December 8, 1875.

Thomason and Banthan sentenced for second degree murder
The circuit court session opened to try Thomason and Hartman for the murder of T. B. Walker. Both pleaded guilty to second degree murder and were sentenced to ten years in the penitentiary. The sheriff will take them to Jefferson City at seven this morning.
