Voters across Bremer County will select candidates for President, Congress, state and local offices on Tuesday November 2. Polls open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Incumbents Ford and Dole face Carter Mondale on the national ballot. Grassley and Rapp compete for U.S. House, Craft and Nelson for State Senate, Werlaufer and Avenson for State Rep in the 15th district, Lageschulte and Newell in the 37th district, and Fuerstenberg vs Haugen for County Auditor. Sheriff features Westendorf, Ragsdale, and Illian in the three-way race. Judicial ballot includes retention of LeGrand, Plummer, and Wild. A full township list appears on page six.
