Cedar Rapids Family Hosts Army Discharge Visitor

Defense dominated the Friday clash as UNI High School Cedar Falls stopped Tripoli 7-0 with Arden Miller catching the game winning TD from the 15 yard line after a roughing penalty. Tripoli failed to score in the final quarter despite 3 of 11 passes. Turkey Valley edged Denver 43-20. Dunkerton beat Fredericksburg 73-6. Wapsie Valley shutout South Winneshiek 14-0. St Bridget's Catholic church in Pinhook marked a century as a parish with a high mass led by Archbishop Byrnes and former pastors on October 8.
