District Court 10 Opens Monday for November Term
The opening of the November term of district court in Charles City with Hon. T. A. Beardmore on the bench is set for Monday. Delinquent Tax Sale Postponed in Bremer County
Waverly Bremer County Treasurer Chas Bills announced postponement of the annual delinquent tax list publication and tax sale. The duration is undecided. Some taxpayers may pay within a month or two. In Butler County the sale moves to January 1933 with December 14 publication start. Other counties consider similar action under Iowa code section 7262.

Mrs Zander Injured in Farmyard Accident Near Bremer
Mrs. John Zander of Waverly sustained severe leg injuries when a hay knife on a barn floor caused deep cuts to both legs while helping with chores at her parents’ farm near Bremer. She received immediate medical care, then stayed with relatives as healing began.

Hold burial rites for Henry Koch and Jason Chadwick
The notices record Henry Koch 78 of Chicago died Saturday. Funeral services were held in Sumner and Tripoli before burial in Fremont cemetery beside his wife. Jason David Chadwick born June 1 1856 in Jefferson county Wisconsin died Friday, funeral held in Frederika with Rev. A W Gable officiating. He left four children, eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Surviving are three brothers and multiple relatives.

Milo M. Melton city clerk and insurance agent died at Presbyterian hospital Waterloo after a ten day illness and gall bladder infection complicated pneumonia. He leaves a widow and son Harold, his parents E and Mrs. Melton of Fruitland Iowa, a brother Homer of St. Louis, and other relatives. Funeral services were held at the George Sagert home and he rests in Lutheran cemetery, Denver. Rev. F Schoenbohm officiated.

Henry F Buhman aged 62, longtime county resident, died last Tuesday after a six week illness at Mercy hospital. He came from Germany at age three and lived in Maxfield township. Survived by wife and five children Erwin Waterloo, Walter Janesville, Henry Waverly, Mrs Leo Anderson California, Raymond and Edwin. F D Kimbal Barn Destroyed by Fire
A blaze of unknown origin destroyed F D Kimbal s barn in the northwest part of town last Friday night. A team of horses and other contents perished in the flames. Neighbor Mrs Caroline Beisner raised the alarm as high winds aided the spread. Firemen arrived soon after 11 45 p m but could not save the structure. An automobile inside the barn was damaged but removed. Loss is about 1000 with partial insurance. rebuilding planned this fall.

City Man Dies Suddenly in Local Visit
Frank Cleaves aged 51 died at the home of his mother in law Mrs C A Miller in this city last Friday night of a blood clot on the heart. He and his wife had left Nebraska for a winter trip and were visiting Mrs Miller when he was stricken. The body was sent back to Nebraska for burial. Both Cleaves and his wife once lived in the city and were well known.

First aid training for rural show youths by scouts
Eighty five boys from each rural show district received first aid instruction Saturday afternoon at the Community building. Waverly Eagle scouts led the session at the request of Mildred Smith county superintendent. They learned bandaging releasing a strangle hold in water and revival methods for fainting or near drowning. V V Allen, Wapsipinicon area scout executive, attended.

Car Turnover Near Waterloo Injures Heine Couple
Mr and Mrs Lawrence Heine and Miss Irene Madden escaped serious harm when their car rolled into a ditch on No 218 en route to Waterloo. Heine suffered cracked ribs and Mrs Heine a neck and back sprain due to shatterproof windshield rescue. injured were taken to Mrs Leo Stenzel home nearby.
