Bid Notice for Tripoli Community School Construction
The Tripoli Community School in Tripoli Iowa will hold a bid opening on June 12 1957 at 2 00 PM in the office of the Board of Education. Sealed bids for general construction plumbing heating and ventilating electrical work must follow the contract documents on file with the Secretary and architect. Bidder names and work classes must be marked on sealed envelopes and bids may be withdrawn within twenty days. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities.

A transport truck carrying 37,000 pounds of dry beans became stuck for three hours near Sidney after the tractor slid into a soft shoulder and jackknifed into a ditch while the trailer stayed on the road. Two tow trucks and three additional vehicles were required to recover it and return the vehicle to the highway.
