Fire Destroys Vacant House Near Denver
A frame house one mile south and two miles east of Denver was totally destroyed by fire early Friday. Owned by Marwin Foelske, the vacant structure burned out of control as Denver volunteers responded after neighbor Robert Walter reported the alarm at 3 20 a m. No damage estimate or insurance details were available and Fire Chief Art Kurtz said the cause was undetermined.

Sophia Bock 89 died May 18 at Tripoli Nursing Home. Funeral services were May 21 at Faith United Church of Christ Tripoli led by Rev. Keith Selberg with interment in Faith cemetery.
