Seventy graduating seniors and foreign exchange staff receive diplomas at Friday’s exercises at 8:00 p.m. in the high school gym. Dr. Ray Bryan will introduce the speaker, and his topic is the change challenge. Bryan holds BS and MS from Kansas State University and a PhD from Nebraska. he has led various Kansas education roles since 1930.

Registration for Little League Baseball Set
Advance registration for the little league program is scheduled for Tuesday June 1 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Tripoli south park shelterhouse. Funeral Rites for Louie Holm Held Thursday
Funeral services for 81 year old Louie Holm will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rettig Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Kappelmann officiating. Burial follows in Fremont cemetery. Holm died Tuesday morning at a Waverly Nursing Home after about a year there. He was a World War II veteran and son of Carl and Hunemuller Holm. He is survived by brothers Fred and Art Holm of Tripoli and sisters Mrs. Louise Niedert and Mrs. Ella Peters, both of Tripoli. Pallbearers are Victor Peters Lawrence Mohlis Merril Smith Roger Holm Randall Niedert and Leo Schuldt.

Paul A. Zander and John Evashevski were named co-captains of the University of Iowa wrestling team for 1971-72. Denver Learn to Swim program begins June 14
The Denver Learn to Swim program opens at Willow Run Country Club on Monday June 14. It offers water-babies beginners to advanced swimmers and life saving plus adult classes. Sessions run 45 minutes twice weekly for eight weeks with prices $5 per season $4 water-babies $10 life saving $8 adults. About five hundred participants expected.

Centennial Observance At St. Pauls Artesian Marks 100 Years
St Pauls Missouri Lutheran Church of Artesian celebrated its centennial on Sunday May 16 drawing 875 attendees. Morning and afternoon services featured pastors from Maysville Alden Waterloo and Hiawatha with sermons on mercy blessings and future. Honored members included Emma Rucker 90 and Sophie Wolf 96. THS Trackmen finish season at state meet
Tripoli high trackmen scored 12 points at the state meet on May 15. Willis Hildebrandt placed third in long jump with 20 feet 11 and a fourth in the 880 relay with 1 35.2, while Dom Boeckmann and teammates shone in the 440 and relays. The team set five school records and Coach Perkins praised senior leaders for guiding the spring season.

THS girls track team competed in three events at the state meet. The 880 relay and 440 relay both set school records but failed to qualify for finals. 880 relay finished in 1:48.3 with Schuldt Platte Fink Matthias. 440 relay 52.4 seconds with Schuldt Rathbone Fink Platte. 880 medley 2:01.9 with Schuldt Rathbone Matthias Chapin.
