Eight nurses will graduate from Mercy hospital training school on Thursday morning May 12 national hospital day. Death of Mrs Broadbent After Illness in Waterloo
Mr John Meier of this city was called to Waterloo last week as his daughter Mrs Fred Broadbent died in a Waterloo hospital Friday from amocytic angina. A rare serum was rushed by airplane from Rochester in hopes of saving her life. Born in this city she was 27, survived by her father, sister Mrs Ben Broad bent, two half brothers and grandmother. Funeral and burial were in Denver.

Man Held On Vehicle Theft Ties to Local Robberies
Ben Kaufman was arrested by Officer Bert Fowler after he matched license plates on his car to plates stolen from Gertrude Eggleston. The stolen car belonged to Lilly Whitney of Osage. Kaufman, reportedly from Waverly, is being questioned by Sheriff Sager who says Kaufman named others involved in break ins at Kaiser furniture and related petty thefts. Sixty two pennies were found in his pockets.
