Cedar Falls Rites For Brother of Tripoli Resident
Funeral services were held in Cedar Falls for Mark W. Petersen aged 59 brother of Christian Petersen of Tripoli. Petersen died Tuesday night in Iowa City of carcinoma and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery Cedar Falls. Born June 12 1898 in New Hartford he lived in Waterloo Cedar Falls and Minneapolis before moving to North Cedar in 1946. An automobile mechanic he is survived by his wife a daughter two sons two brothers and six grandchildren.

3500 Acres Added to Tripoli School District
Bremer County Board of Education assigned 3500 more acres in Warren township to the Tripoli Community School district effective July 1 after the formation of the Waverly Community School district. Two Tripoli Youths Go on Six Months Active Duty

Jose F. Vega received word Friday of the death of his mother Mrs Angelina A. Vega 63 of Guanica Puerto Rico. She died in a Mayaguez hospital of a heart attack.
