J C Ruehs and Rev W H Klein at a Decorah Lutheran meeting. numerous relatives visiting in Frederika, New Hampton, Westgate, Sumner, and Waverly. The Cub Scouts held a hike with badges awarded and about 30 people attended. The Johnson reunion gathered about 75 at Frederika park with attendees from multiple Iowa towns.

Des Moines Man Pays 125 for Dog Bite Incident
A Des Moines man, Wilbur Bickett, paid 125 in fines after his dog bit a nine year old. He was jailed for refusing to reveal the dog's location and released when his wife produced the dog for rabies checks. He was fined 100 for interfering with a city official and 25 for letting the dog run at large. Dogs bite victims are confined 14 days to assess rabies treatment need. if the dog cannot be found the victim may need shots.
