Tripoli hosted Plainfield in Cedar-Wapsie Conference action winning both games. The girls 67 50 saw Darlys Lampe and Caroline ehe lead with 21 each, while Sandra Gehrberg scored 21 for Wapsie Valley. Boys fell 53 39 as Mike LeVake topped Plainfield with 16 points. Wapsie Valley defeated Tripoli 61 44 in the later boys game.

Walt Fergemann Ends Chicken Business After Twenty Years
Walter Fergemann of Tripoli has sold his entire flock of about 500 chickens after 20 years in the business. He plans to dispose of buildings and land soon. He started in 1943 with 200 birds and raised all stock himself. A peak occurred about 10 years ago with geese added to his flock. He was a longtime Tripoli businessman and co owner of Hub Billiard Parlor until 1947 when he sold it to focus on poultry.
