Rabies Shots Needed for County Dog Licensing
Assessors will begin countywide dog licensing this week. Owners must show a valid rabies certificate with administering veterinarian and vaccination date after July 1 1966. Regular licenses cost $1 for males and spayed females, $3 for females, with a delinquency surcharge if overdue.
Post Office Airlift Fee and Stamp Changes Planned
Parcels up to five pounds remain free from the airlift fee with no change to service. A lobby vending machine will continue dispensing 5c stamps while plans schedule it to dispense 5c and 6c stamps in the near future.
W H Diercks Named To Bremer County Board of Supervisors
Waverly resident W H Diercks was appointed to Bremer County board of supervisors to fill the unexpired term of Robert Benck. The appointment by Dorothea Slemmons Lois Slater and John Sperry takes effect after bond filing within 10 days. The term runs through 1968 with election in 1968 to fill 1969 remainder.

Farmers will receive a 1967 ASCS reporting package by late January detailing ACP feed grain wheat and other direct payments. Measles Clinic Set in Chickasaw County January 11
A measles clinic organized by the Chickasaw County Medical Association and the Iowa Department of Health will run Thursday January 11 at four locations Nashua Fredericksburg New Hampton and Lawler Mount Carmel school. Children ages 1 to 15 in Bremer County who have not had measles or vaccine are urged to attend. A 50 cent donation per child is requested but not required. Voters in the Tripoli Community School District vote Tuesday January 9 from noon to 7 PM at the Tripoli Town Hall on a 130000 dollar bond to add 9000 square feet to the junior senior high school. Plans include a shop art room electronics lab and improved office space while remodeling the current shop into a wrestling gym storage and laundry area.
