READLYN Special report on Wapsie Valley High School wrestlers entering the district meet in New Hampton. After a delay in warm ups, parents and local businessmen raised 43 dollars in about 15 minutes to supply sweatshirts for the team. Notable wrestlers include Dale Thurm who remains undefeated in six matches, along with Dave Leistikow Darrell Cox and Paul Yarrington.

Crippled Children Clinic Dates Set For Bremer County
State Services for Crippled Children will run field clinics in 35 Iowa communities from March 1 to November 16 to provide diagnostic and evaluation services for children under 21 with chronic or crippling conditions. Waverly Banker's Embezzlement Confession Unfolds
Wallace D. Sanders, 36, a former assistant cashier at the First National Bank of Waverly, admitted embezzling about $5,230.15. The loss was disclosed January 21 during routine checks and Sanders confessed January 22 before being dismissed. He restored the full amount.
