Painter of Microscopic Miniature Paintings in London
Stanley A Burchett, a former Grenadier Guardsman in London, creates watercolor miniatures so tiny that twenty fit on a postage stamp. Two works, a dawn seascape with a sailing vessel and a still life of marigolds in a blue vase, were purchased by the queen. A microscope is needed to view them, and many doubt their authenticity as watercolor paintings.
