Nurse Aid Training Course Planned At Sumner Hospital
A nurse aide training course will start Monday at Sumner Community Memorial Hospital. Co sponsored by the hospital Hawkeye Institute of Technology and Sumner Community Schools the four week program offers 60 hours classroom and 60 hours supervised clinical training. Instructor coordinator is Gwen Hickey RN Hawkeye Institute of Technology Waterloo. Enrollment requires interview and aims for seven to ten students with a 25 dollar fee plus 2 50 dollar for a textbook.

BA Degree Awarded To Former Tripoli Man After Lawsuit
Charles R. Pinch, formerly of Tripoli and now at 433 Denver St Waterloo, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Iowa at the August 1 ceremony after a lawsuit filed in Black Hawk County district court. Pinch claimed a capricious exam and delayed appeals kept him from graduation in 1965 despite meeting requirements. his attorney Norman Seeman cited higher grades and argued university rules for appeals were not in place when the suit began.
