Tripoli Fire Dept Responds Twice on Sunday
Fire department in Tripoli was called to two fires on Sunday amid dry conditions. A broad house and 300 chicks were destroyed west of town with damages estimated around 700 to 800 dollars. A brush fire south of town was found to be deliberate arson aimed at burning a slough and was brought under control. Fire Chief Howard Holm said inspections of Tripoli businesses to curb fire hazards would occur before month’s end.

Tripoli Juniors Seniors Host All-Night Party
Tripoli High School juniors and seniors enjoyed an all-night event after the annual banquet. The night included a midnight dance at the school gym, a Sumner show, dancing at the V F W, a magician, a hayride, and breakfast at 6:30 a m served by the Tripoli Woman's club. Chaperones came from parents, the Tripoli Commercial club, and faculty members and their wives.
