A large crowd gathered in downtown Tripoli for a drawing and Easter egg hunt sponsored by the Tripoli Commercial Club. Some 410 local children took part in the egg hunt while 106 prizes were awarded to ticket holders whose numbers matched those in shop windows.

He born December 25 1876 in Osborn county Kansas. Survived by wife two sisters. He was a Frederika Methodist church member.
