Dr Bogardus announced Tri-State has leased the 3M 209 Automatic Copier for the Library Reading Room. The coin operated device can reproduce pages and varied materials with high quality and simple operation. Mrs Chalmers oversees the machine, which aims to pay its own way through modest usage.
Veterans in school will receive automatic increases in GI Bill education checks. Effective October 1, the higher amounts apply to November pay. Single veterans rise from 100 to 130 dollars monthly. with one dependent from 125 to 155. with two dependents from 150 to 175. Each additional dependent adds ten dollars. Pro rata adjustments apply for part time training.
At the ASCE meeting on October 2 1967 120 members and faculty attended a film Concrete's Greatest Fifty Years by the Portland Cement Association. A short business session approved entering a float in the Fall Festival and a field trip to Indianapolis on October 17 1967. There are now 151 members and future meetings will feature guest speakers. Members urged to attend.
Motorcycles are motor vehicles and must be registered. They must be parked in authorized areas on campus. Motorcycles parked in unauthorized areas will be removed beginning Monday October 9. William J. Scott Dean of Students.

Linda Ruoff of Columbus Ohio talks about school modeling cars painting reading and people. She attends Tri-State College majoring in General Business and works as a library student assistant and model while engaging in campus groups like Student Senate Sports Car Club and Booster Club.
RUOFF says after graduation she will seek a job to support her parents' investment in her and hopes to pursue graduate work. She notes feeling alone as the only woman in an all male class, but the first weeks are awkward then she expects it to become interesting and enjoyable as she becomes familiar with peers and the instructor.
