Doug Garlock Named Pierce and Draw Engineer
Douglas L. Garlock BSME 20 has been named engineer in the fossil power generation division of The Babcock and Wilcox Company’s power generation group, Barberton Ohio. A Tonawanda High School and Tri State College graduate, Garlock joined B&W in 1970 and was most recently a methods and standards engineer. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence J Garlock and is married to Penelope Thiele. They reside in Canton Ohio with two daughters. B and W is a major international power equipment maker with 1972 sales over 950 million and a backlog over 3 billion.

Kodak Gives 3.5 Million to Colleges Nationwide
Eastman Kodak Company will grant 3.5 million dollars in educational aid this year to more than 300 colleges and universities across the country. Since 1955 the program has supported higher education with direct grants, research funding, and capital endowments, aiding about 600 institutions in the past decade and extending aid to AAS programs last year.
