Tri State College hosts visiting Chinese Japanese school principal
Yuan Chang Leonard and Yuan Cheng Sharon Lo, engineering students from Tokyo, meet Tri State sophomores as their father Mr Lo, principal of Tokyo's sole Chinese school, tours the campus. He has 25 years in education, wrote Economic History of Europe, and will return to Tokyo after a Los Angeles visit. Sharon majors in mechanical engineering while Leonard studies electrical engineering and photographs for the College News Services.

Modern Chemistry course for non science majors
Non science majors are invited to sign up for CH 145 Modern Chemistry. The course aims to answer common questions about absorption of acids by antacids, yeast fermentation, aspirin differences, and drug basics. It includes four hours of lecture weekly and two hours of lab, offered in the Winter Quarter with no prerequisites.

Tri State Angola Performing Arts Opens Season With Pat Webb
The Tri-State College Angol a Community Performing Arts and Lecture Series opened its 1973 74 season October 5 with Pat Webb guitarist humorist composer. The October 6 film When Comedy Was King was shown twice. Next listed performer Sonia Malkine appears November 13. Season tickets remain available at Strocks Menis Store Tri State College Bookstore and at the door. Students admitted with ID.

Tri State College elementary course activity on campus
Elementary education majors enrolled in a new Tri State College course demonstrate practical literacy through a weekly presentation. Between 10:00 and 11:00 on Monday Wednesday or Friday, students sing flap wings and perform activities with balloons stuffed animals and gestures to engage children while learning effective teaching methods.
