Acacia chartered at Tri-State College in Angola
Acacia fraternity installed its 53rd chapter at Tri-State College Angola after a weekend ceremony region hampered by severe weather. Harvey Logan national secretary presented charter to Chapter President Robert Burns with 23 active members and 7 alumni. Local officers and faculty welcomed the new chapter, which traces to Sigma Mu Sigma founded in 1921.

Free Chest X Rays Offered at Tri-State College Visit
A mobile x ray unit will provide free chest X rays to Tri State College students faculty staff and community residents during a two week visit to Steuben County from February 6 to 16. The unit will be on campus February 7 8 with specific hours and a notice sent if further examination is needed. Circle K members led by James Kaiser help prepare for the campus visit.

Apollo Fire Inquiry Board Named By Tri-State Alumnus
George White, a Tri-State College aeronautical engineering graduate of 1937 and NASA official, is named along with four others on a board of inquiry into the Cape Kennedy Apollo I fire that killed Virgil Grissom Edward White II and Roger Chaffee. The panel is led by Dr. Floyd L. Thompson of Langley with astronaut Frank Borman and Dr. Max Faget also on the team.

Parking space offered for 300 cars on Park Street
Fred Munn, Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds, reports a black-topped 300 car parking lot on Park Street west of the railroad tracks is available on a first come, first served basis. The area is clear of snow after thorough cleaning on Monday. Some students currently park on streets several blocks away, but this lot is one block from the main campus and should be more convenient.
