Steuben County Hit By Worst Tornado Surge In Years
Monday evening a series of low flying tornados ripped through Steuben County near Lake Pleasant and Nevada Mills, uprooting trees and damaging homes as winds, heavy rain, and hail left Angola area immobile. No fatalities reported though several injured and seven hospitalized. power outages persisted into Monday afternoon as sheriff and Civil Defense crews aided rescue and debris removal. Estimated damage exceeds half a million dollars with widespread road closures and extensive cleanup ahead.
