A 1907 Star-Clipper note praised the site as ideal for baseball and football, distant from homes. The Dysart area was later hit by a cyclone on August 22, 1907, leaving only a home on the Seebach and J. C. Messer farms amid flooding. Traer Centennial Days July 17-22.
