The Clark case drags through a senate committee with few developments. Warren testified of an interview in which he proposed a favorable vote for Clark for 10000 dollars and Clark said he would fix the matter. Cason said he was authorized to offer Merceys up to 10000 for his vote. Montana National Bank president Smith testified Clark deposited 50000 but did not charge against it. Murray said he was offered 10000 for his vote. Ector testified two of Daly's men promised 5000 for information on Clarke's movements.
