A Denver and Rio Grande collision in Colorado leaves an estimated twenty five dead as cars are crushed and burned. Rescue teams work amid wreckage and flames, with many passengers believed trapped or perished.
A Rio Grande passenger train and a Colorado Midland stock train collided on a curve near New Castle Colorado causing widespread destruction. The wreck burned several cars including the baggage and passenger coaches with numerous fatalities and many injured. Survivors report intense flames as engines and cars burst into fire and rescue efforts began immediately with doctors, nurses, and local townspeople aiding the injured.
Seven people were injured in a collision of electric cars on Mission Street San Francisco. A Bryant Street line car lost motor power when a fuse burned, leaving only the brakes. The runaway struck a second car at Mission and Seventeenth, causing injuries to Mrs McNutt Mrs Josie Tresch M Tresch four years old Theresa Carroll Williamase Henry Peters and Fred ONeill with cuts bruises and hip injuries. The motorman remained at his post and was not hurt. The conductor escaped with a few bruises.

William W Frisbie, among the injured in the Lang Santa Fe wreck, died this afternoon at 2 15 at the Santa Fe hospital. He had been brought to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash earlier today.
