Andrew Anderson, fourteen, died after Charles Oliver allegedly struck him and fled. Witnesses recall two intoxicated men, Oliver and Hanson, beating the youth near Buchanan and Sixth streets. Police sought Oliver, who vanished after the assault. Anderson died at 10 39 p m as officers pursued charges and a warrant was prepared.

The boy was found Saturday inching near the Dauwing school house within two miles of his home. A searching party started from the school house at 13 wrilay afternoon. Sheriff Burdge met a wagon bearing the boy that they had met driving toward Lawrence. Later the sheriff met a man who had seen the boy, wagon and horses a few miles west of Lawrence and the sheriff thinks he is in Kansas City. There was a man in the wagon with the boy when the parties saw him.
In Rossville district court Judge Tlheim refused to allow additional creditors to participate in the judgment tied to Wesley Davis's debts. Davis vanished with about $10,000 owed to Rossville State Bank, which held security in his real estate. The court denied the petition to set aside the bank’s secured judgment, noting the bank’s loans were properly secured while other creditors were not.
Mrs Frank Conklin lies ill in a Topeka hospital while her children are taken from her by his family and carried toward Santa Fe New Mexico. Her sister Mrs Mooney recounts abuse and threats, and police seek the missing children as the husband and father travels toward Santa Fe with the two girls.
