PD R Nelson pressed Shawnee County commissioners for a right of way to build an electric railroad from Topeka to Kansas City via Kan sah City and Topeka. He said eastern capitalists would fund the line if profitable, but warned no decision before public wishes are known and 60 days for a definite stance. He denied links to any Cleveland syndicate and urged securing property-owner consent before construction.
