Hoelman alias Horumah was hanged in the Whecity jail this morning before about fifty witnesses. A statement from Beafield on behalf of Hoelman claimed his body would be sent to Gran Taven Michigan beside his wife and child. He was convicted of killing Mrs. Welle Geddes by strangulation and the coroner's jury returned a verdict of death by own action.
Paris on May 04 reports that Geriie Castelhane, husband of Ania Gould, wrote to Bary Mackay denying a proposed million Trance fund. The note claims the plan to buy and convert assets for charitable uses, including titles tied to Weetoother, is rejected. The details and characters appear in the Gaslottan letters.
In the United States circuit court a jury ruled for Mrs Louie Morris against Fidelity and Casualty Co of New York, awarding $17,120 to cover the policy. The National Association of Stove Manufacturers held its annual meeting in Detroit Michigan last evening naming E Burt of Leavenworth as vice president and selecting Pat Driver as another officer. A committee was appointed to explore ways to curb piracy of stove patterns.
Senator Richard Coke died at 2 30 am in Wace. His remains will be embalmed and lie in state at the mission on Sunday at 9 00 pm. The funeral will be held with Senators Mills and Chilton and Congressman Hears in attendance. Also Culberson and ex Gov Hors attended.
William H. Goodwin president of the Elliott National Bank of this city was killed on Pond Street Jamacia Plain while walking home from business. A dead branch blew from a tree during a wind and struck his head, knocking him to the sidewalk. He died within twenty minutes. Grangers sympathize.
The Kansas board of charities elected A. A. Stewart of Manhattan as superintendent of the state deaf and dumb school at Olathe, effective July 1 with a $1500 annual salary. W. H. Milwaukee May 14 Insurance circles report that after Wisconsin revoked the Citizens Insurance Company of St Louis license Missouri Insurance Superintendent Great plans retaliation by revoking licenses of Wisconsin firms doing business there. Great says Wisconsin acted hastily and may rescind once he learns full facts.
Leavenworth hosts the sixth annual grand Jodge Favellan gathering of the United Commercial Travelers of Kansas with about 100 expected visitors. Grand Counselor Heech of Wichita leads the headquarters while officials from Hutchinson Columbus and Salina participate as delegates and officers. An open mike session for subordinate councils preceded the secret grand council opening.
